I have a 2016 - 3100. Have owned this unit about 3 years. When I dump the tanks everything goes fine. When done there is still liquid in the drain hose. I even took to the factory to have repaired, said they added a fitting that should correct the problem, it did not other than relive my pocket of a lot of dollars. The only way I can drain the hose is to put a bucket under the 3" sewer hose connection and drain about a gallon and half of liquid out of it, then the maserator pump dischsrge line will drain. I leave my tank valves open during this process so to get air in. Factory could not fix it, has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to correct it?

I just leave the valves open and start at the connection that you hook to on the RV and lift the hose up and continue moving and lifting the sewer hose to the end at the sewer hookup. You may have to do this two or three times to get the majority of the "liquid" out of the hose. At that point, close the valves and CAREFULLY disconnect the line from the RV. Then continue raising the sewer hose and move to the sewer hookup one final time. I do this when I use the macerator as well.

I agree with Free2RV, lift the hose starting from where it comes into the RV's compartment and shake it while working to the sewer attachment. I leave the gray tank flush valve open. I do it a few times and then shut the valve and then remove from sewer connection and fold back up into the storage compartment.

I've solved that issue in a different way. I added a clear plastic tube to the macerator drain line. That enables me to see any black or gray water that is in the drain tube.

I don't see how a clear hose "solves" the issue? IMO it just lets you confirm whether you have one or not. I also do the hose lift.

A clear hose allows you to see if there is any water in the drain line. It also allows you to observe any remaining solids when flushing the black tank. But I agree the hose lift is the way to make sure all the water is out of the tube.
