Title: electronic water heater use with less than 30 Amp

Can I use electric  on our 6 gal water heater when connected to shoreline that is LESS THAN 30amps? Just asking.....

I have used the water heater on a 20 amp circuit with no problem.

Checked in the Atwood water heater manual, gas/electric heater is rated at 1500 watts (12.5 amps).

Thanks! I will check household circuit before attempting electric use. It is an old farmhouse so breaker might flip.

Chuck - you might want to check your spec sheet --- mine draws 11 - 12.  Also, you really don't need to leave it on all the time..(before meals, showers, etc.)
