Title: AGM BATTERIES
Post by: Sparroweye on May 25, 2023, 07:42:06 pm
I have purchased 2 AGM batteries and haven’t been able to find out if my Xantrex XM 1800 Pro inverter needs any adjustments.  Noticed on the battery maintainer I used during the winter it has a AGM setting.  Does the Xantrex have any such setting?  The unit is a 2007 XADC-P50.   Maybe mfg prior to AGM battery.  Beginning to regret buying them w/o checking first.  Any feedback would be appreciated.

I would suggest to google the manual. I purchased a set of AGMs for my previous RV in 2007 so I know AGMs have been around longer than that.

The XM1800 inverter has nothing to do with charging the batteries. The converter is what you mean.

Talked a guy at Batteries Plus who basically said the Agm battery will react exactly the same as a regular wet 12v.  Guess I’ll quit worrying about the inverter/converter.

Agreed!  Don't worry about it.  I have had two AMG 6volts hooked up to my 2007 2100 for three years.  No issues, however, I have the older Tripplite inverter.
