seeing what options i have to either replace or replace cushions. they are worn down and require a top. it’s an electric tri fold with a slide out. any suggestions appreciated

It should be possible to to remove the 4 segments and have them redone with new foam, preferably without removing the entire sofa bed. Start by looking underneath the foot of the bed to see how they attach to the folding frame.
The segment behind the seat back is only attached to the wall with fabric and just lifts up. If you use thicker foam you could store it behind the sofa for a filler piece for when the bed is folded out.
After both end segments are out of the way you may be able to reach underneath and unfasten the seat bottom and seat back. If you use much thicker foam you may find that you have to use velcro straps to re-attach the the seat back so it won’t bind at the bottom.

As the former owner of a PC 2100, I have first-hand experience with the folding sofa/bed combination. Disassembly and access to the frame is very easy. There is a front panel with fabric covered push buttons that can be pried off to reveal the screws holding the panel to the frame. Once the panel is removed, access to the underside of the bed becomes evident.
I had problems with the wheels supporting the front of the telescoping frame. Mounted on very frail support brackets, the wheels were straining to roll across the carpeted flooring as the slide out was extended or retracted. The supports were too weak. The problem was not going to solve on its own. I unbolted and removed the bent pieces. Replacing them with double thickness, custom fabricated metal solved the buckling problem .
Taking the frame apart and getting the surface reupholstered should be easily accomplished with a screwdriver. Working on the wheel mounting brackets requires a wrench.

I agree,,, after discovering that the front is held on by snaps over screws, it was not that difficult to get into the sofa. However my intent was to find squeaks in the sofa as it made a lot of noise while I was driving down the highway. So there are places where I added nylon washers, sometimes as much as a half inch on the same bolt, to eliminate the noise AND to level up the sections so that it made a flatter bed. After I did that, it was much better to sleep on. See the attached picture.
I can't suggest much on improving the cushions, sorry. Once I got mine level they looked pretty good. One day, tho... I will probably recover the entire sofa. And replace the cushions with memory foam that be cut wider/longer to fill the gaps between sections.
