I am going to install a battery SOC (State Of Charge) monitor in my 2015 2552.
I like to keep track of the batteries when we're dry camping.
I'm planning on installing the gauge next to the battery disconnect switch.
I would like to know your thoughts or experience on where to route the cable from the shunt to the gauge.
I don't really want to drill a hole through the floor under the sink (beside the hot water heater) if I don't need to.

Under the passenger side bed are where the battery cables come through the floor into the fuse box. You can run your monitor cables from the fuse box to the side entry way. Or, even easier, just attach the meter to the center connector of the battery disconnect switch.
But to be honest, the inverter panel behind the driver's seat already has a voltage display on it. Just turn the inverter on, read the voltage, turn the inverter off.

Now, if you are looking at a meter that shows current draw, then you will need to connect the shunt to the battery itself (or the latching relay output cable) and run the meter wires alongside the battery disconnect switch wiring. You may have to enlarge slightly, an existing hole and reseal it, but drill a 2nd hole.

The monitor I will use is one that will show me amperage and direction of flow (charging or discharging).
I had a monitor like this on our 2350 and decided to put one in our 2552. I like to see more than just the voltage on the batteries.
You have a good idea on running the cable alongside the battery disconnect switch. I will investigate that option. 2o2

Keelhauler (user/owner here) has a "block diagram" of the wiring in a 2552 that was updated in the last year or so.
Since we have the same year and essentially the same model. The latching relay that the 12v disconnect latches/unlatches is mounted on the rear wall of the actual battery box (behind the slideout tray).

I will look for Keelhauler's diagram. I seem to recall seeing one from quite a while back.
I suspected that the relay may be on the back wall of the battery compartment. (I have not yet looked that closely in there.)
That may be a good spot to mount the shunt.
I think the main differences between the 2551 and 2552 are the extra foot in length, slide out pantry, and chair by the door (which we don't have in ours).
We're anxious to get back on the road!

That is where Phoenix mounted my shunt when they built my 2019 2552. I had them install the TriMetric TM2030RV monitor system (and their solar controller for my solar panels). By the time they were building 2019 units, Phoenix was no longer using the battery disconnect that used a latching relay--the negative cables connect directly to the disconnect switch. However, the shunt still installs electrically into the main negative cable. If the latching relay in your unit is on the back wall--should certainly be possible to install the shunt there and re-connect things electrically.
