Title: Directions for Samsung TV/DVD Player in 2011 Models

Here are the instructions for the Samsung TV/DVD Player in the 2011 Model. You can print them out from the website:

The directions are the same for the 2010 Model, except instead of using d/in for surround sound, you need to use Aux 2.  Otherwise the directions are the same. Sorry for the confusion earlier. This should clear up things.

Thanks Aimee, that is very helpful info.

I have had my 2551 for a year now and have spent a total of 4 months in it.  Until the last trip I didn't think that the surround sound worked with regular TV reception.  Turned out I wasn't waiting long enogh for the DVD surround sound to come on when I tried it.  I discovered this when I tried again and got distracted long enough and then it came on and I said WOW!

Aimee,

As I read these directions more closely, I realize that they are not applicable to the system in my 2010 2551.  As I already replied to rannan5050 in the other post, the DVD and Surround Sound directions are different.  In addition, the "using one remote" directions are also different, for mine the TV remonte is the samll one and the DVD remote is the large one, and the buttons described don't exist on my remotes.

I do have a Samsung TV and DVD, but maybe these directions are for older or newer models?

Let me look into it and see. As I understand it, the instructions I got were notes written by Phoenix staff on the phone with Samsung at the time, and things can get confusing. If any of you want to send me modified directions along with your TV/DVD make/model, I'll put them into a PDF and attach them with these others.  tymote

What is the actual Samsung model number ? I have an earlier coach (2007), and the DVD/HT system on that will not play DVDs consistently, so was looking to replace it - but it's difficult to find a DVD with the 5:1 speaker outlets that fits into the slot.

Our 2011 2551 has a Samsung  model HTC550 DVD. The TV is Samsung model LN26c450.

I have followed the directions for Surround Sound.  All works as shown on the instructions accept I get no sound from the right front speaker (okay on left front, subwoofer and both rear). What to do? (My first attempt at using the Surround Sound.)  I’m thinking there’s a wiring problem from the factory.  (WH)
