Title: What model velvac mirror
Post by: Tarnold on August 20, 2022, 11:58:04 am
(How long should a post take to show up?) looked at all the velvac schematic I could find, but couldn’t find mine. What model do you find on the 2013 e450.  I want to remove and repaint just the mirror shell, not the arm.  Removed set screws but still wouldn’t lift out. Ideas?

Well, that one popped right up.  As above, removed the 2 set screws, but there seems to be a “split washer” type thingey with 2 slots 180* apart.  Thinking a flat blade driven at the right angle would loosen this ring and allow mirror to lift off of arm.  What says you?

Sorry..  I have no personal experience with VELVAC,  but the vendor has a page dedicated to repair and replacement.  It may prove useful.

Looked at all of those, but nothing like mine?  Maybe I’m just assuming velvac?  The bottom of the mirror housing has a (looks like a ball) that rotates within a cup.  The 2 set screws holds it from rotating.
