Title: Need a new cable

Today, while pulling out the foot rest on my PC 2552 sofa,  the release cable broke as I tried to release it. Anybody know how or where to get one of these cables?

Call the factory. They can get them. They replaced one of ours a few years back. Doug was going to show me how to keep it from happening but we both forgot so I don't know that answer but know there's a trick to it.

Well, being who I am, I took an old motorcycle throttle cable and threaded it through the original casing on the coach.  Crimped it in the levers and and the release and Yahtzee.  Fixed.

Not sure if you ever got the cable for your sofa slide, but after both of ours broke recently, I contacted PC/USA & spoke with Dave Ponsler.  He said they had just gotten in an order of the cables & he shipped me two immediately.  They cost about $35 each.  Although I had to be a bit of a contortionist to get them installed, they replaced the originals perfectly & both sofa slides now work, hopefully for many years to come.
