Title: Leak at water inlet
Post by: RonJ on May 09, 2021, 04:10:07 pm: When I screw a water hose to the water inlet to the right of the city/fill valve the water leaks. It's not leaking from where the hose attaches but instead appears to be leaking from behind the panel. Could it be as simple as unscrewing the 4 screws that hold the panel in place and tightening what might be loose behind the panel? Has anyone done this?

In the compartment under the driver's side bed, you will see a panel on the left hand side of the outside wall of the compartment. Should be 4 screws. Remove them and you will see the back of the water inlet panel. Check to see which hose is leaking and tighten. If the issue is not right at those lines connected to the panel. Take to your RV dealer, the leak may be the panel itself and/or a bad connection in or to the PEX plumbing system itself.

You should still be warranty.

When the connected hose was turned on water sprayed everywhere on the back side of the sanicon compartment. Tightening the nut did not resolve the issue. I removed the fitting (two screws) and the end of the nipple was brittle and cracked. There was no evidence that teflon tape had ever been used. Anyway, I replaced the inlet fitting with same type from Camping World which corrected and solved the problem. Perhaps someone else has had the same problem?
