Title: K&N 77-2570KTK
Post by: CalCruiser on April 17, 2021, 03:14:33 pm
Much to my surprise it passed the  CA smog check. The K&N CARB # sticker is only for cargo trucks, not certified for motorhomes. Lucky day !

I’m surprised they signed off on it.  Typically anything that’s not stock is automatically disqualified.  Doesn’t matter if it actually affects pollutants, the fact it isn’t stock, they’re typical response is they can’t proceed with the test until it’s corrected.  It seems you found a shop that uses common sense. Good place to remember.

Like many of  California’s regulations, it’s the epitome of  stupidity.  K&N pays $5k for each vehicle certification, but there are countless  makes and models of Ford E-series motorhomes. The Summit Racing website shows there is an EO but doesn't specify vehicle type.
