Does any one use these spring loaded tension bars/rods in your fridge while traveling to keep things from cascading out when you open the door? I saw some from Camping World that seem like they'd work. I'd think that curtain rods would work the same, as long as they were rust proof.
What do you use & where'd you get them? And/or what is better? Cheaper & easier?

I used them in our other RV but they were kind of a pain when I needed to get to things out. They do work. I think we got them at Camping World or Walmart. Now I use the Variera boxes (6"x9 1/2") from IKEA. I thought about putting something that's non-slip under them but it really isn't needed.
I also use them in the freezer. I flat pack and freeze most of our meals and they can hold quite a bit vertically stacked.
We put shelves in the shirt closets. One of them is just a few inches from the top to hold aluminum wrap, Ziploc bags, Saran wrap etc. I use a curtain rod to keep them from sliding out. It works fine but the spring isn't as tight as the frig bars.

We use a double white one on the top shelf of the fridge to keep milk etc in place. It sits behind the trash can when in camp. If you buy at a physical store check it first. Ours is a little off kilter and difficult to snug in.
We use small brown ones on two shelves in the medicine cabinet and they stay in all the time. No more cascading pill bottles.
Both are from Camco and I ordered on Amazon. No clue where they are best price but know they sell them at most camp supply stores.
Wouldn't recommend curtain rod due to rust potential.

We use them. Yes they are somewhat of a pain-but we have tried other means and these seem to fit the bill. I found out the only way to keep stuff in the frig from moving is to not move the RV.

I’ve never tried them or found we’d need them. Any open space is filled with bottled water. The shape of the bottles allow air flow and we drink a lot of water so there’s never an inconvenience.

Like Joseph, we keep the fridge full.
We tried the spring-loaded railings but found them more trouble than they were worth.

We use the rails, they work well. Mrs V generally has the fridge packed, so it eliminates 'falling object surprise' when opening after travel. We have the shelves spaced so the milk can be removed without bar removal.
The bars were 'double' from the factory, I separated them into two singles for the smaller shelves below.
One thing I have not seen mentioned here is the spring tension (and length) is adjustable. Merely screw the moving end in or out to change the spring tension. They came so tight that Mrs V couldnt put them in.

For drinks like milk and lemon-aid, we reuse one or two 1/2 gallon apple juice containers like this one that seal well and take a good beating.
