Ok lesson Learned..
Do not back up on leveling blocks or deep pot holes as you will pinch the mudflap and tear it loose from bracket.. I tore most of my driver side rear mud flap and the rubber fender flare lose. It pulled the mounting screws out . Any suggestions on where to take it for repair?? will a tire shop do this

I did that in deep sand once while backing, drove up on it and it ripped off. I turned it upside down and drilled some holes and remounted it.

Does anyone know the size or make or model of the mudflapps used on a 2011 2552, Looks like the factory had to cut out some of the mud flap to merge with the rubber wheel flaring/skirt. I measured mine and it looks like they are 24inched tall and 21 inches wide. which is very odd size I am finding

Long ago I almost ripped off a mudflap backing up ramps with our 2007 2350. Since then, I do the following preparation.
On the right side, I position the mudflap on top of the tail pipe.
On the left side I made a small hole in the mudflap and hang it on a hook that I added. Look close and you can see the hanging hook.

Carol got back to me and told me the factory uses a 19" wide by 24" Tall mudflap but does not put on the rubber Fender flare/skirt. I Now have figured out the larger mudflap and rubber fender flare skirt was added by the previous owner.. I purchased a 24'x24" mudflap and have cut it to size to replace the torn off one. Drilling and aligning the hole to bolt it to the metal hanger is proving difficult. but I am almost done with that part of the job. I am going to purchase some slightly larger self tapping screw and add some bonding glue and attempt to re-attact the rubber fender flare/skirt. I will let you know how that goes. Just another RV adventure LOL

I managed that too! Would have never guessed you could back over your own mud flap. But My flap toughed it out long enough to pull the metal bracket apart. Luckily there was a good RV shop not far away who could at least reattach one of the broken bars that helped hold the side of the RV. I haven't been anywhere since that could deal with the mud flap and the final brace. A lot of power in that engine!

I have had both of the experiences John and Ron discussed above in this thread and did exactly the same things they did to take of it. Interesting we all thought the same for a solution.

Add me as another in the "ripped off a mudflap backing up" party! Wish I had seen this thread BEFORE I did it! Fix seems easy enough either using the old flap (with washers and sealant over the old torn holes) (assuming the nuts aren't rusted on, which would render it a much more difficult task), or drilling new holes in the mudflap and bracket and using new bolts. Hopefully I can get on before winter hits here.

We got lucky and never damaged either mudflap, but we came close to it catching the scenario just in time. It is very easy to do backing up on ramps. It leaves me to think it is possible to damage a mudflap backing up on an unimproved irregular surface or other unsuspecting surface, even backing to hit a bump-stop or curb. Maybe people with hydraulic jacks have experienced the same damage to mudflaps.

I back up onto leveling jacks a few times a year, never had a problem with either my PC or prior to it my Lexington or my Minnie. I have always used either the Lego style blocks where I stack them so each step up is only 1 block, or I have used the ramps that only go up 1" at a time.
Maybe I am lucky, or maybe PC modified the mud flap placement and size in 2015? My mud flaps about 2" off the road and maybe 4" behind the tire at the closest point between the two.
I should get a pict and or measure that once I get it back from the shop.

Especially when loaded up on a trip, I think our mudflaps are closer than 2" to the pavement. How much your particular PC sags in back would surely influence the "mudflap pinch" condition.

I also lost a mudflap andI replaced both mudflaps and brackets below for about $100.00 on my 2007 2100. Should be the same size for all units. They work and fit great, just some minor cuts to the top corner of each mudflap. Brackets do a great job keeping the mud flaps from moving. All hardware included. Eazy, Sweezy.

I should be getting it back from the shop this coming week, I will try to get picts. To the best of my knowledge, my unit has bever sagged in the back. Course, it's an E450 not an E350.

Once had to make some mud flaps for a heavy trailer. Went to tractor supply and bought horse stall mat. About 3’ wide, comes on a roll, and they sell it by the foot. Really thick and tuff stuff. Not really pretty but worked great.
