I've been rehabbing a 2004 model 2550 for the last couple of months. Now getting around to the "nice to have" list.
The microwave works great - except that the display does not. There's only a couple of LEDs left that work. The model is a Sharp Carousel Convection R-820BW. No luck finding the part (LED sheet - PSHEPA626WRE0) online.
Anybody have a clue where to get the part? It would be a shame to trash this microwave since it looks and fits good and still works fine.

Everywhere I have looked, the led sheet is no longer manufactured. In addition, I can't find even a used oven for sale where you could salvage parts from.
I presume you have already done this, but if not, I would check that the ribbon cable to the LED sheet is clean and seated properly.
Sorry

I replaced mine once in an old PC with a standard Sharp microwave. All mounting parts and size were identical, was very easy to change.

eBay is the universal go-to place for obsolete nos or recycled parts. You may thank me later ;)

Hi emcee,
You just might get lucky by trying this.
Remove the circuit board that the display is soldered to. Assuming it is a thru-hole display component, touch each solder joint with a soldering iron to liquefy each connection, then allow to harden again. Using solder flux helps a lot. It just might be that all the jolting from driving has cracked the solder connections, rendering the segments of the display to go dead. Solder-reflowing them again, might get it working properly again.
When installing your microwave oven, I advise to do as I did (CLICK HERE) (http://forum.phoenixusarv.com/index.php/topic,2486.0.html) so the microwave doesn't come loose and rattle. I did that back in 2016 and all remains tightly mounted to this day.
