Title: Wondering If Your PC Has A Shield between Batteries And Rear Tires
Post by: Ron Dittmer on June 29, 2020, 08:45:05 pm
Our 2007 2350 brand new, came with the rear tires exposed to the batteries.  Needless to say, the batteries got very messy from all the road grime.  A few years later, I reworked the battery cables to accommodate a protective shield.  CLICK HERE (https://www.flickr.com/photos/37432012@N08/albums/72157622075091526) to see what I originally had, and what I did about the condition.

I was wondering if Phoenix ever addressed the condition, or is it still their practice to have the rear tires splash up the batteries.  If your PC has the battery compartment adjacent to the rear tires, are your batteries protected from tire splash?  A few pictures would be appreciated.

Ron,I could send you a pic of mine but being a 2552 I don’t think it’s the same layout. We have a storage  compartment between the rear tires and the battery compartment

Same as Joseph, but a 2551 instead of a 2552.   In any event, both front back and rear sides are covered.
