Yes- Another question. First a statement. Hour meter has only 1.2 hrs. That cain't be right. Took it off the wall. Only 1 wire (brown hot) running to it. It was NOT connected to the positive pole. Could/would someone take a look at theirs and tell me what pole it is connected to? There is a big + with an arrow pointing towards a terminal.
Thanks, Bob

Unless someone swapped out your generator/remote panel, there should be a multi-wire run from the remote that plugs into the appropriate harness on the generator.
The hour meter should run off the "running" indicator in the start/stop/prime rocker switch on the remote panel
Onan service manual says time meter defective, not wired would be a defect... Should be a 4 wire harness, see which wire in the harness isn't connected to anything.

Here is a pic of the back of the remote starter panel. The brown wire with yellow connector is the wire connected to the NON + terminal.
I guess I ain't so smart. Don't know how to ad a picture here.

Problem solved!!!!!! I was installing the "dead" meter back in the panel and decided to check for any hanging wires. Well, there was one. Connected it and guess what. It works. With the meter stopped at 1.3 this must have been disconnected for well almost forever.
