Title: refrigerator door prop
Post by: garmp on June 07, 2020, 11:28:47 am
Just picked up our new 2351D and got it home and into storage for a couple of weeks, before heading out. (Pending covid). I noticed the new Norcold fridge has no door stops or props to hold the door open during storage, like our old unit had. What do you use to accomplish this?
There should be some kind of universal device out there to use. Simpler the better.

thanks

We left ours open once in storage and the darn door sagged and it took a bit to get it to close properly after.  We always store now with it closed and baking soda inside.  Typically we Change it out every 6 weeks when we run the Gen.

We fold a towel over the doors and close.  Keeps it open enough and out of the way.

Gary---

Off topic, but I wanted to say Congratulations!  2o2 on finally getting your 2351D!  I know you've been waiting a while.

Was gonna ask if it would be "Bob II", but I see you decided to go with "Jack".

Curious about your thoughts and impressions of the larger unit compared to your 2100 after you have the chance to spend some time with it.

All the best,       Mike

Don't know about the latest and greatest, but our Norcold (2015 model} has tabs in the freezer and refrigerator latch that you pop out and they go into cutouts to keep door open.
