Based on some post recently about lack of charging crank battery when plugged into 110v. Got one today. Before install, crank bat showed 12.33v. Disconnected and shut off house power at door. Instructions say connect one color and ground then other color. Wired per pics in “dead battery post”. Re connected batteries. When hooked up orange and green light flash. Shortly alarm goes off and red light flash. Cranked PC and let it run a bit, scan guage showed 14.1v. Red light went off and green light on. Plugged into 110 for about 3 hours, ac running. Step out and alarm is going again, red light on. This is still plugged into 110. Disconnect trik l start. This is probably latest version rev F 1. 10 AMP. unhooked from 110, house batt(Napa gc2 deep cycle 11/19 date) shows 12.9v, crank bat still shows 12.33
Why is the alarm still sounding?

To add, this new model has a 4th indicator light, “low batt”, this is the red light that comes on. The pic in the DEAD BATTERY post does not show this 4th light.

To follow up started all over again. Every thing disconnected. Printed instructions say hook yellow and black, then blue. On the unit it says to disable the alarm, hook blue and black then yellow. Went that way this time. Connected everything back up(battery disconnect on crank battery helped) plugged back in. So far only green light flashing(charging)
Now another question. With EVERYTHING disconnected, batteries, house cutoff, no 110, I still saw 2.4v on both poles of the solenoid that the trik l start attached to. So where does this bit of voltage come from?

Probably phantom voltage from a digital voltmeter.
Which points did you hook Trik-l-Start to? Under the hood?

Wired just like the picture of the factory installed in the recent post “dead battery”.
