Title: Turn signal camera, part 3
Post by: Tarnold on February 13, 2020, 04:54:14 pm
Got the new multiplexer in, still didn’t fix the left turn issue.  Good news is River Park will take it back.  BUT the bad part is it cost $45 plus shipping, what I didn’t know was shipping was $28.75!!!.  This is a part about the size of a deck of cards.  Now they are good to answer the phone, return calls and answer emails.  Sent me a diagram of the wiring plugs and what each pin does.  With that I was able to check voltage on pin one, and checked continuity on the other pins.  Checked ok, so guess cable is good.  So narrowed down to a bad camera, so new one on the way.  Tech support couldn’t really tell me how to remove camera from fender , “only sell them, don’t install them”.  Which I guess is true, so no problem there.  After a lot of delicate fiddling finally got the cover off.  If any one ever needs to, there is a claw/hook on the pointy end that you have to slide the cover off pulling toward the lens.  Found either a shoddy install or some where along the way was fiddling with it as only one screw where there should be two under the cover hatch, which has to be gently priced out to see the screws.  Told tech support about the removable and they added it to their  notes if any one else asks.
Probably should have just lived with original problem but like to see things work that I paid for in the first place.
