I apparently had the maserator compartment door clipped open on our 2910 when the slide was IN. Subsequently, I must have put the slide OUT. Turns out the stupid little clip that holds the door open does a pretty good job, tore the door up pretty bad (body shop bad).
My solution is to remove the clip altogether and just put the screws back in the holes. I considered gas stuts like the other doors but figured there was a chance the slide would grab the knobs (given my luck). So I just plan to hold the door open when needed.
