Title: Add bedroom tv 2552
Post by: faiello on June 18, 2019, 03:22:40 am
Has anyone added the bedroom TV themselves on the model 2552? is it pre wired for the antenna and power? how did you mount it? What bracket did you use? TIA

I'd call Dave at PC and ask about your particular unit.

I have a 2006 2551 and just added a 24 inch tv on the bigger cabinet next to bed. Mine has a plug 120 volts and wired for antenna inside cabinet.
I bought a tv bracket at harbor freight for about $15.00 dollars and it works great.  I started by opening up the cabinet and removed the panel on the right side facing back of rv. Its hollow inside which I knew. I glued up plywood to make 1 inch net thickness
and glued it in the hollow space and used a pocket hole jig to screw to solid pine frame. I put the panel back on with staples. Drilled hole through cabinet and ran my wires. Its solid and worked out great. Sorry I don't have any pictures.

With our 2007 2350, I mounted the TV bracket without filling the space between inner and outer panels.  I used locking nylon nuts to tighten the mounting bolts enough without distortion to the inner panel, avoiding any potential of loosening of the bracket.  It works well for us.
