Title: What's going on at Phoenix?
Post by: garmp on May 09, 2019, 12:34:11 pm
Who is the sales manager (Earl's replacement) at Phoenix? I left two inquiries on their web site and no replies. Is there any way to contact or email them direct, since the web site gets no reply?

I had ordered some parts from Carol, told her of my concern & she forwarded my message. The same day I received a phone call from Mike Peterson (574-226-1322) who asked if he could help me. Apparently in sales and answered my questions plus. Don't know his email address, but was eager to help.

I called Monday and asked for sales. No answer, left message. No call back thru Tuesday. Wednesday called again and again no answer at sales; again left message.  Thursday, I emailed them. no answer. If they are still in business, they won't be long.

I haven’t had a need to contact sales recently so I can’t speak to that but I have left messages for Doug and Carol with no response from either. Carol did respond to an email but never responded to my follow up email. That was well over a month ago. Not a good sign!

Called Carol today 5/10/2019 for part and she answered the phone.  As usual she put part in the mail for me. She has always been helpful and knows the parts and what comes with them.

When you call if you push the right button for the correct dept and it may not be the one you think it is either. You will get a call back. Leave a specific message.
They responded to me very well when I needed parts and when I had another problem and called Mike did indeed respond nicely. Allow them leeway to answer your
inquiry and don't loose patience... if you are in a hurry you need to show up at the door. They are busy and have a lot of units in the field to keep on the road as well.

I’ve left voice mails and submitted queries before and never heard back from anyone as well. I gave up. There was ‘1’ time I got a very fast response; I filled out the build/quote form once; lightning fast response from that one. ;)

We were just approved as Forum members yesterday, so are just getting acclimated to the routine. Each forum has its own personality so it does take a little time to get settled in.

Last week I sent in an inquiry using the PC website's Contact form and so far have not received a reply.  So reading this topic does cause some concern. We currently own a 38' Class A, wanting to downsize; Phoenix Cruiser is the best we've seen so far, and we are hoping to visit this summer to see what PC is all about. Respect for and timely responses to current and potential customers is imperative to a successful business.
Not lecturing, just stating a true fact!

Hoping to hear back from them this week. Nice to be part of the Forum!! ;)

Welcome DicknPat to the forum! Don't get these post wrong. Most people here, as I, were sold our Cruisers by the previous ownership, and there fore uncomfortable with the transition. All in all they are a very good company to work with. It's just that as previous owners we're unsure of who to call and where to call them. Earl & Kyle were it. Not a question.
Good company, you'll like their product.

Call them direct.  They will take care of any question.  Once you get the correct phone number or email, they are very responsive.  I downsized fro 40’ diesel pusher and have been very happy.

Cheers  :)(:

Thanks Garmp & Bftownes for getting back to me on this topic. I also Googled Phoenix USA ownership change in the Fall of 2017. Looks like an "up & up" arrangement & thank goodness it's not a Thor buyout (WH) That would have me running the other way...fast!!

Wondering if they entertain trade-ins or is it direct (no trades) only. Anyone know one way or the other ?

Hi DicknPat
Welcome to the forum.  We are also new to the forum having bought our 2019 2552 in March.  We downsized from a 37' Class A and haven't looked back - absolutely no regrets.  PC was the top of our short list and it really seems to be a well built coach.  We had to make a call to the factory after purchase as two of our speakers had no sound coming out of them.  They were very responsive, talked my husband through trouble shooting and fixing (simply was a loose wire).  I'd try giving them a call.

Hi DicknPat!  Welcome to this forum and the Phoenix Cruiser world.

I know this particular thread can seem alarming especially if you have no history with the company.  But I believe they make a solid product and have proved they stand behind it.  If I do not get a response with 24 hours of an email I just assume it went into junk or other electronic oblivion.  EMail ( and website contact forms) are not a reliable form of communication.  I would hit up the website again and if no response call the sales number.

We are currently in the process of building a new sticks n bricks house and have had reason to do a lot of research on products.  My informal testing shows that approximately 20% of my website inquiries were returned by companies.  Even the ones where you click "ready to buy" had a dismal record.  I'm not sure why companies go to the trouble of having a website contact form if no one is actually going to respond.

I also would like to direct you to the Phoenix Cruiser Travel Club ( http://phoenixcruisertravelclub.org/).  Which is the independent owners club.  The 2019 rally is sold out but take a look at the website and newsletter.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, jaytrax !  Yes, I too am used to lack of response from Internet inquiries I've made in the past. As a former business owner, I find it hard to understand. We considered customer requests vital to our business. Telephone is still the best way to get information, but often people tend to let calls roll over to voice mail, and then often ignore calling back. Customer service is a lost art, I guess.

I will check out the PC Travel Club 2o2

Hi Kristy & Gary: Thanks so much for the nice welcome!! A friendly place here. The 2552 is high on our list to check out....our plans are for a Michigan trip this summer, so a stop in Elkhart will fit in perfectly either coming or going from Iowa. This will give us a chance for a firm trade price, as we will be traveling in our Class A Thor Challenger, so they can see it personally.  Did you trade or buy outright? If trade, did it go well?

BTW, who should I ask for when calling PC. Might as well get with the right person at the beginning & not later!

Happy Travels.....perhaps we'll meet one of these days  meetya

Peg:
Thanks for your response telling us you traded with no problem!  We have a 38' Class A Thor Challenger, so believe it would trade fairly, if in fact they want Class A's in trade.

Happy Travels to Ya !! tymote

We used Mike Petersen [mpeterson1836@gmail.com / (574) 226-1322]. When we visited a month ago, he had recently (a couple days before) experienced a major catastrophe and might still be dealing with. He always returned calls and emails.

So, I just did a test.

I submitted a query on the main site’s question form; three weeks ago. No response.

Last week I submitted a quote/factory discount query; heard back in less than 24 hours.

~Conclusion: sales at Phoenix Cruiser is exponentially more important than customer service.
