Title: Louvered Window failure

"Life with Ken & Jane" just posted a youtube video about having the seal on some of their louvered windows fail. The link is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2nIUjFQcEI

Not sure if they post on this forum or not. They have a 2016 2552.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Just reporting in that our 2007 Hehr framed sliding thermal panes are doing great.

I do wonder if "some" of the problem could be attributed to a rough ride from an over-rated chassis.  A soft ride would surely "go easy" on thermal pane windows.

Wow!  Glad you brought this up... seems to have been around for some time. 2005 and earlier roadtreks, http://www.everything-about-rving.com/the-windows-are-falling-out-of-my-2005-roadtrek-210-poplar-rv.html  but news to me.


Will show this Mrs V, and see how anxious she is to get those framele$$ window$ now.  :lol


Interesting to see them called 'louvered' windows. I have only seen windows (like those referenced above) called awning windows, with louvered and jalousie being synonymous and describing the multi-slat windows commonly seen down here in older campers or non-AC building construction.   Or a desired option on VW campers.. Got them on mine.

   I suppose calling them 'awning windows' in the RV industry would lead to confusion, and so people took to calling them louvered.  (WH)
