Title: It's always a sigh of relief
Post by: Doneworking on March 28, 2019, 08:21:35 am
Yesterday I dewinterized our Phoenix Cruiser.   I don't care how careful I am in the fall I always have that little worry in the back of my mind:  did I miss anything?   Well, I didn't.  Every year for me it is a great feeling when you drain and flush and test all the systems after several months in storage.

I bet I am not the only one that goes "Whew!" every springtime.   2o2

Yep, I know exactly what you mean.  Many years back we had an in ground pool and it was the same feeling. Every time I pulled off that winter cover I expected the worse. Never had an issue in 9 years!

I spent much of the day today helping my brother with his 1998 Starflyte.  We installed a 12" hitch extender with a built-in step, then mounted a treated 82" long 2x12 to it along with bracketing the ends to his steel bumper, then he screwed down his two Rubbermaid containers while inside a canvas weatherproof storage bag.  Then he mounted his bike rack to the extender.  When we were done, I was kidding him that he added 4 feet to the length of his rig.  He now has a 24 foot Starflyte.  roflol

It was a fun day working with my brother on his motor home.....a good way to start the RV season here.

Plus 100!!  Dewinterized last Saturday and we are on our first trip of the year.  I've been worried at every stop wondering what I forgot to do but everything is working great!
