Hello Folks. I'm new to the Forum. Bought a 2016 Model 2400 recently. Really like it. But, now when the rear step retracts it "chatters" for about 10 seconds at the end of its retraction. What's up? Any insights or advice appreciated. Thank You.

Might need to be lubed.

Might be the door well switch is a bit out of alignment.
What do you mean by 'chatter'? Running in-out a few times? Motor continuing to run but the steps are fully up? Something else?
Could be:
Lubrication
Door switch adjustment
Something bent
Motor 'stop' switch out of adjustment
Broken gear tooth

Thx for replies. Clarification: The motor continues to run for 5-10 seconds even though the step is fully "up". That seems to be causing the "chatter".

You have a 2016 so not that old. Call the factory and ask for Dave. Tell him what is going on. We can speculate here and offer advice but they are going to KNOW, not guess.

Is this a problem that just cropped up, or did you buy it like that?
But a quick Google led to this... http://www.irv2.com/forums/f84/steps-clicking-after-fully-opened-12-hr-vacationer-169608.html
Seems to be on track. Good Luck!
