My 2007 PC 2551, Ford 450 came with LED turn signal/brake lights in the rear and standard bulbs for the front turn signals. Brake lights work fine. Emergency flasher works fine. But the turn signals flash at rapid pace (hyperflash). The previous owner did tow a vehicle, if that makes a difference, but I don't (at least not yet).
Any idea how to fix the hyperflash turn signals on this motorhome?

Dave,
I wonder if the previous owner installed a different flasher and now that the extra electrical load is gone (from not having a toad) the turn signals flash rapidly. On a car I had, if a bulb burned out that side flashed rapidly.
The FORD manual may list the flasher model #.
Good luck, that sound annoying!

2006 2350 here, and I also have the 'hyperflash'. I have encountered the same thing before when changing out to LED lights. If you get a 'solid state' turn signal relay it stops it -

or you can add resistors (not the best solution IMO, but works..)

The hyperflash hasnt been enough of a bother for me to fix it. Someday maybe. :lol

Just make sure all turn signal bulbs are working well. If the front incandescent bulb is burnt out or suffering from corroded contacts, you will get the rapid blinking. Another cause for rapid blinking is if you changed a front incandescent bulb with the wrong one. Be sure to replace every signal bulb with the same bulb number. If the side marker bulbs blink, the same applies to them.

Thanks for your help, gents. I found a flasher at O'Reillys and it works! I had read about one fellow who blew out lights and fuses with an electronic flasher, but this one was listed for my vehicle and now that it works, it do hope it will continue to do so. No resistors, yay!

The easiest of fixes. 2o2 Glad all is well again.
Speaking of blinker modules....I read somewhere that a supplier offers a much louder blinker for the Ford E-series. I can hardly hear mine, was that day from the very beginning. Anyone know where a much louder blinker can be purchased? I also wondered if gluing on a small strip of spring steel to the stock blinker would increase it's volume.

Street Rodders like these. :) Especially when you have side pipes.
