Title: DC connections between the Ford and the PC??
Post by: MartyAZ on November 26, 2010, 04:49:06 pm
When you drive down the road, does the Ford alternator change any of the PC batteries??

When the PC Generator is running, does that charge any of the Ford batteries?

Yes the Ford alternator charges the PC batteries after it's own battery is charged.

The generator does NOT charge the Ford battery.

I was going to say the same thing as Ron.  Boy, he is quick.  Anyway, in the summer my Ford battery is up to top speed, so most of the time I am charging the house batteries as we travel.

Yep, the engine battery is full nearly all the time, so most of the time, the alternator is working on the RV batteries.  The setup works quite well.
