When we ordered our 2100 we opted for the leather seats for the front , sofa and dinette. We really like them and don't want to get them messed up and want to protect them. We like to fish and get in and out with our boots etc. My questions is are these covers over the factory seats or new/different seats? And if I want to cover these to protect them what do I do? How do I find covers that will fit? Do I order covers for factory Ford seats? What did you do?

Just an FYI here: A shop which specialized in interior restoration once informed me that the process of getting into and out of the car seat was particularly damaging to leather. They advised using an inexpensive seat cushion to limit this stress. A tactic which has worked on my fourteen year old sedan.

They are not Ford seats. I think ours are from Paul's Seating or some such. I'm not sure of the fit for seat covers. We have no class and tend to be, uh, frugal (sounds better than cheap). We carry beach towels which do double duty by being folded and "stored" on the front seats. Remember that you have an arm rest on each seat which may interfere with some covers.

Instead of seat covers, which can wear the leather prematurely, clean the leather with a 4:1 ratio of water and wool wash (woolite or clone). Use a toothbrush on extra dirty areas. Use a microfiber cloth to scrub and another to dry. During and after every trip, wipe the leather with a slightly damp microfiber towel and dry with another. If you do this regularly, you will have nice, clean, nurtured leather for a long time.
