Now don’t get me wrong, I really appreciate this forum and all the folks who generously help with advice and problem solutions. However, I have recently been active on one of two Phoenix Cruiser Facebook pages, with conversations with several PC owners including John and his wife (Jatrax). Great conversation with lots of pictures to compliment the topics. The second Phoenix Cruiser Facebook page is the Mothership page with pics if new and used PCs (which are also put on RV Trader). Just thought I would mention this for those of you who have Facebook. Enjoy. :)(:

Not sure how many on this Forum are like myself, and utilize none of the social networking sites. My experience (albeit limited) with FB is that it will often limit the page content if you fail to login. And/or a login box will frequently appear telling you to register or login.
That aside, if you happen to note something particularly interesting, possibly you could post this in the appropriate Forum category.

Well, what works for some doesn’t work for others. That’s why I closed with “For those of you who have Facebook...”. We use FB daily to keep up with friends, family, former students and coworkers. If a FB account is set up right with security settings done, it is a great communication tool for people who are on the road. :)(:

I know many that use face book. This however is the only social media place I’m on. I’m of the less is more type. But hey diff strokes for diff folks. I do get it though and think it’s certainly an option. Considering how popular FB is probably a great option for many.

I didn't know one exists and have been considering starting one. I'm interested!

:lol My experience with this forum is that "it will often limit the page content if you fail to login" like pictures and attachments... I often use other work computers besides mine to view forums, and dislike signing in on others terminals. Kinda stinks when I want to show co-workers pics I post here but cant... >(
And yes, the 'nag' screen on FB is beyond annoying. (nod) Now I have to go to my office and search out the PC group (In the Golf Course office right now watching irrigation computers.. FUN! ... Will post links.
EDIT - Phoenix Cruiser 'Mothership' page - https://www.facebook.com/PhoenixCruiserRV/ but I was unable to find the right search terms to find the other page. Link?

Here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/322506454518168/
It is actually a group not a page if that matters. I'm only on FB because Carrie makes me occasionally. I'm sure it is wonderful (Carrie is on it constantly) but I simply do not understand it and get frustrated when I try. So I'm there to help as I can but otherwise avoid it.
If I was only 10 years younger maybe I would be able to understand FB??

tymote
I use facebook 90% of the time to message bands that I want to record, and to chat with friends. I certainly dont use it 'correctly' roflol as Mr Z would like, but as a contact platform it is the best right now.
Thanks for the link to the page. oh... that is the Page for a 'secret' or 'closed' group. So... its a link to both. :-D And explains why a casual search didnt find it. (And Mrs V is also on FB many of her waking hours, dont feel alone)

C'mon John, I'm pushing age 75 real hard and SWMBO is some less than that and we are FB literate. But again, whatever floats one's boat. . . ;) :)(:

Approved for the FB page, and neat going through it! NOT as easy to browse for content like the forum. Here is *definitely* the place to search for specific things.
I find the the conversation is fun to read. And all the pics..
Fawkes is a beautiful coach. ;) Neat color combo.

Thanks Volkemon. His color scheme caught my eye on RV Trader and the rest was easy. You might say "love at first sight". 2o2 :)(:

Thanks, I joined the FB PC group. I was a long-term hold out on joining FB, but since getting on about 2 years ago, I have reconnected with a lot of old friends and can stay better connected with family. Don't go crazy with it, but it has been a positive thing.
We still really enjoy this forum, learning and sharing.

we are FB literate
I am 'supposed' to be tech savy. I use a computer 8 hours a day for work most days. I can handle all major software applications. I can get around and do things on forums.
FB, just baffles me. Every time I think I understand it, they change something. Just a learning block on my part. It just does not work the way I think it should and I've never had the time to really learn it.
I have a number of artist friends who use it constantly to promote their work and even sell pieces. But I can't even figure out to post a picture most of the time. (WH)

My issue isn't learning it, haven't bothered. My issue is FB like so many others sell too much info and lose it as well. I do know people who use it all the time and post where they are what they are doing and so on. I'm of the my business is nobodies business when I'm not home, what I have, where I frequent and so on. All to many sites are hacked etc. I was one of the huge group of people with a T/S clearance who's info was stolen in a hack. I was under understanding the US gov would keep my info safe but they didn't so I don't hold out on to any thinking that sites like FB are safe. All they do when they lose everything is give you free monitoring for a few years. What a joke thats been, nightmare actually. Hell even Zukerberg won't offer up info they expect others to use on those sites. Nope, Less is more ....But for those that have never been burned and are comfortable with it enjoy, Im sure its a lot of fun. I totally get it, Till it gets you and hopefully it never will.

roflol roflol roflol
You have me laughing because you remind me of myself.
I gave Facebook a serious try. After some time I was comfortable with it but wondered what I am trying to accomplish with it. I was linked up with many people I knew on a personal level along with some others. Facebook turned out to be way too much interaction for me. I decided to reduce my connections so I sent out a post explaining my intentions and then un-friended everyone except for family which was still too much interaction. I went the next step and shut off notifications which was the solution that worked for me. But since doing that, I am never on Facebook.....and I like it this way. So I have a Facebook account that I never use for socializing. I cannot recall the last time I logged in Facebook. Many apps and other web features require a Facebook account so it's good to have just for that.
What bothers me about Facebook is that some of my family (around the country) use it exclusively to notify the rest of the family of special events, invitations, deaths, and more. We missed out on a few serious family gatherings including a death in the family because they use Facebook as their only means of communication. I really should go into my Facebook account and have no friends. Maybe then they would try to notify me via another way.

Fortunately Carrie is on FB daily so I just get a "news brief" at bed time. :):)
But you are correct, I am amazed at how many important things that used to be communicated by phone or actual letter are now just posted on FB with the assumption that everyone will see it there. I've had relatives pass and the only reason I found out was someone posted on FB. There is something a little scary in that but I'm not smart enough to understand all the ramifications.
