Has anyone upgraded the rims and tires on their Phoenix Cruiser? Rickson Wheel Manufacturing ("https://ricksontruckwheels.com/wheels-ford-e350450.php") offer an upgrade to the E-350/450 DRW Van/Cutaway Chassis to 17.5" X 6.75" Rims & 215/75R 17.5 tires. I'm not advocating Rickson Wheel Manufacturing-their BBB rating is a F. I would like to upgrade to this size rim and tire, but not sure there would be enough clearance for the larger rims and tires. I'm also not sure if larger rims and tires will negatively effect other systems like the ABS.
Has anyone upgraded to this rim and tire configuration?
Any opinions?
Thanks in Advance!!!

The link you gave shows pictures of the 'before and after' and they look similar in size.
From the link - ""yet the tire is approximately the same diameter as the OEM (factory) tires.""
With the size being very close, you should have no problems with ABS, or having the speedometer reading wrong.
Looks like a good thing! The rim/tire combo is what is on the rollback I sometimes use. VERY heavy duty.
* The 17.5 tires are heavier than the 16" LT tires, noticeably so! Maybe consider replacing shocks also when upgrading.

Have not upgraded the size of the wheel but did install Aluminum wheels on the front and outside rear, got tired of the cover turning or popping off due to not installing the extension for the air value right.

Hi Jim,
What brand of alloy wheel did you choose?
What did they cost you?
Where did you buy them?
I would love to see some pictures. I ask because I have been considering doing the same.

Ron, Got the Wheels at Peoria Plaza Tire in Peoria,
The wheels are 16x6 8x6.5 Pacer LT Mod @ $207.00 each
Will sent some pictures this next week when I pull the PC out of the Barn to get ready to head to Dayton for the Hamfest ( Amateur Radio Get together)
The new wheels make it easy to check and add air to the tires, on the rear inter wheel I just added a 4 inch straight extension, the front rear wheel air is on the flat part of the wheel pointing straight up.
Hope this will help, Could not find the ones I got on a search of the internet.

Thanks Jim,
I look forward to seeing some pictures.
Was the price of $207 per wheel including mounting and balancing?

Thank You KB9OMH for the pictures. They look very nice. It is probably to early to say, but how is the clear coat on them holding up? Any micro fracturing occurring? If it is happening, you would see it at various lighting angles.
I am considering alloy wheels (4 of them) when replacing my tires. I am heavily leaning toward Alcoa, primarily because I see 18 wheel tractor trailors with them. Maybe there are many 18s out there with the Pacer LT Mod brand and I just don't realize it. With me, price is also a factor which has me thinking not to blindly buy Alcoas, but look into this deeper.
Thanks Again!
