Anyone added a DVR to capture air or cable received TV? If so, I would like to hear your experience and any suggestions.

Since we unplugged cable last year, we've been using a "Tablo" DVR at home for antenna-based content. The beauty of this particular DVR is that it allows you to view either saved or real-time Antenna content on any TV in your house over WIFI, using an Amazon Firestick or other similar device like Roku in each TV. I can't say I've tried it, but it also has a feature you can turn on, where you can even access your personal Tablo realtime and saved content over the internet from anywhere in the world.
So theoretically, you could put a Firestick in your Cruiser's TV, turn on your phone's WIFI hotspot, and watch TV just like you're home, assuming you've got 4G cell service.
I've used a Firestick in my cruiser, and it works well, I've just never turned on the Tablo feature to try it remotely.

We installed a Philips DVR and DVD combo unit. We often record over the air shows to watch at a future time.
We used it in our 2008 PC and now have it in the 2012 PC. We did not order the DVD player that PC installs.
It works great.
