Title: Staff changes?
Post by: ErinS on February 24, 2018, 02:39:48 am
I am about a month out from deliver.  I have been in contact with Earl and Kyle regularly about mY build for months.  They have always been extremely prompt in responding to me, but in the last week my messages have gone unanswered.  I have also noticed that on the website where it directed folks to “contact Earl” for sales inquires, now it just says “contact sales”.  Has anyone spoken to PC in the last week and do they know if Earl is no longer the point of contact for sales?

We called yesterday to check if everyone was ok - massive flooding in the Michigan/Indiana area. The lady who answered the phone said she and her home were ok as was the factory.  I am guessing that more staff will be brought in to fill a couple of gaps and it makes sense to have a general number for sales without a name now. With Earl taking on added responsibility I can only imagine how busy he is. Our rig has gone to paint so our pickup dates must be pretty close. I just hope the flooding doesn’t get any worse or a few of us might face RVs that have taken a swim. 🧜‍♀️

Talked with Earl on Tuesday, Feb.20th to schedule placing our order next week.  He said weather conditions, recent snow storms and flooding, were causing issues for the Elkhart area.  Having a general number for sales makes more sense than having Earl having to answer simple questions that anyone else could answer.

Thank you, good to know that others have had contact.  My coach went to paint 2 weeks ago, so I am guessing that it is back at PC factory now.  We are on the brink of some flooding here in Iowa too.  I hope the PC factory is not negatively impacted.  For those familiar with Elkhart, is the campground in a flood zone?

Erins, where are you from in Iowa? I am from Harpers Ferry, Ia and have a PC on order.

Lynn, I am in Marion, not too far from you.  Jax, I am interest in how the Elkhart Campground might fair thru flood, but will probably just need to give them a call in a couple of weeks to check on conditions.

Erin,
I will be at PC on Wednesday to place our order and will drive by the Elkhart Campground to see what condition it is in at that time.  We will post the condition here later on Wednesday so you will have an idea how it is looking.  That is the campground we stay at when we go down to Elkhart.  We have been very happy with it.

Having stayed at both the KOA and Independent Elkhart campgrounds, I can assure you neither is near the river, nor is the factory.

There is a creek that runs nearby but all creeks run into the river which is a mile or so South and perhaps 100' lower in elevation.

Hey Erin, we told you we would report back.
We were at Phoenix today to place our order. Everything looks good there (no negative effects from the flooding). They appear to be working hard and keeping busy.  2o2

The Elkhart Campground is currently closed for the season. So, you will have to find out when they open, in relation to when you would be there. That said, from our view of the campground, from the gate and along the road, it looks fine, no appearance of flooding.

Hope this helps.
