Anyone have experience with the king bed option for 2552? The option is a power slide that converts twins into king. Either or both twins can be expanded. Seems like a good option that is flexible in that the beds could be togther at night and opened up a little during day to allow access to bathroom.
Thanks

I think it is a very good option to consider but night time access to the bathroom I am afraid would not be to cute for my wife and myself!!!

My issue would be you are restricted to their mattress set up.

Our coach has one half of the power bed option. We have the power bed on the passenger side and had them build a small dinette on the driver side. With the bed retracted it works as a day bed or sofa and the aisle is full width. At night it extends to a 'full' size mattress (54" x 74" i think) and there is a narrow aisle to the bathroom. The aisle is about 8", tight but it works.
I can say the mechanism works fine, we have had no problems with it. The one downside is that you need to make up the bed every day to retract it. Not a problem for us but some might prefer a permanent bed.
We ordered a cover to match the curtains, like shown in the original video for the mattress and cushions. When retracted it looks just like a sofa, not a bed and the extra cushions make a nice back.
Here is ours retracted and extended.

And here is the dinette in case anyone is interested.

Thanks for your comments.
Jatrax I didn’t think about having to make up beds daily. Thanks for that observation. That got me thinking. This option when used only with the mattresses would allow us to position both mattresses together for the night and just move them back for the day. Nice!
Do the beds feel solid when sleeping in the extended position?... Do they not feel as solid as having a frame below you?

I sleep on the outside, so I'm on the 'overhang' and no problems at all. I weigh 170 so YMMV but I feel no flex or sag at all. The mattress is thinner than I'm used to and I thought it might not be comfortable but after spending time sleeping on it I am satisfied. When sleeping in a hotel with a not great mattress I often get up stiff. Never had a problem in the coach.
