(cheer) So excited! Just got off the phone with Earl. We have ordered our 2552 with almost all the options and modifications we wanted. I did compromise on the exterior color - I wanted graystone but Earl confirmed they do get hotter in full sun, so went with desert sand in and out. Thanks SO MUCH to all of you for your encouragement and insider information. Couldn’t have gotten this far without you! John and Holly gave my husband the grand tour yesterday and he came home so pumped up - both from the quality of workmanship on the PC and from the warmth and depth of information they provided. PC people rock! Thanks again! heartshower

Oh, Holly! That would be fantastic! John is still talking about his visit with you two! Thanks again. We will be sure to mention your names to Earl in case PC has a program like Born Free had. Ambassadors got $500 reward for orders they had a direct hand in. Hoping PC has the same.

Phoenix had the same deal before the company was sold. I don't know if they still do it. We love showing our Phoenix so it wasn't the money that prompted us but we wouldn't turn it down if they still do it. It would go to feed her yummy gas and propane. I'll send you an email and we can work out a day to meet up for measuring and such. Like I told your John, we visited Tom Hanlon two or three times before we ordered. He saw so much of us he decided he may as well consider us friends and we get together periodically (Tom, we're overdue - if you and Jo Ann are available when we meet up with John and Madonna we can take you along in the rig).

Holly, A get to gather would be nice but we leave on Jan. 5th for Yellowstone and Jackson, Wy. We are going in my Jeep Grand Cherokee. It is to cold for the PC out there this time of year. We should be back around the 26 of Jan. If you can, we would love to get to gather after then. Boy we are getting so many PC's in the area we could form our own club. Just kidding, I would not want to take away from the current owners club.

There a subset of the owners club that meets in California every winter. So there is precedent. I'm not sure how the arrangements for the California meet up are handled.
Here is part of the newsletter item about it: we’re holding the annual West Coast Reunion again this year, organized by Suzanne Salter. It’s being held at the Pismo Coast Village RV Resort, from April 15 to 18, 2018 departing on the 19th.

Wow! That is an awesome option list. I am sure you will enjoy all the convenience. With these options you should be very comfortable in limited service campgrounds in National Parks, National Forest, boondocking, and full amenity RV resorts. Congratulations on your selections.

Remember that you have some time to change your mind pending where your 2552 is during the assembly process, so if you want to change a thing or two (or three or four) during your waiting period, be sure to call Earl ASAP. Hang in there while you wait. You've got a lot of time to think about where to go on your first big trip.

Ah, the drawers. We really do love them. They have met our needs extremely well. We do need to remember to lock them closed with the center latching buttons I added later. If not button-latched, our drawers will open when we drive because of their extra weight.
As I recall with a 2552, you'll get a pull-out pantry to the right of the stove top. An alternate arrangement would be to use that extra 12" of linear footage for a larger counter-top and two sets of extra wide drawers. I seen a 2552 done up that way and it looked exceptionally functional.
Going through your list of options, it was not clear to me. Are you getting a couch without a slide out? If so, what are you doing with your extra wall space? A floor to ceiling closet? I don't recall anyone getting the couch without the slide out before.

Hubs convinced me the slideout was a good idea. We don't have to use it, but it is there. Have no plans to use the sofa as a bed unless sometime in the distant future our grandkids would travel with us.

You are "in" with the masses. Everyone with a 2350, 2351, 2551, and 2552 who has that slide out, loves it. Especially since Phoenix added the fridge into the slide out in 2010. I am sure you will too.

Just spoke with Earl Robbins. We had a couple of additional items for them to add and - drumroll - we have an order number!! He said they will start the build in a couple of weeks. BTW, they still have the ambassador program so we made sure he was aware of all your efforts, John and Holly. He remembers you (in a positive way). ; )

Thank goodness! I seem to be well remembered by many... But not always in a positive way. John is Mr. Nice Guy so he helps offset any bad karma I may stir up.
It was our pleasure showing the rig. I'll use any excuse to go wandering in her so the trip down was no problem. Meeting new happy campers is my favorite. Give us a call or email if you need any info or have questions.

Just talked to Earl to clarify a couple of things. I off handedly asked about when he thought they might start building our RV. He said they already have the walls installed! WOW! We were so pleasantly surprised. His rough guess is 8 weeks until completion. OMGoodness. I probably won’t be able to sleep tonight. 🤪

Good news!!
I had much the same surprise on our coach. I called to ask about making a small change as I thought they were months from starting. I was shocked to hear the walls were up and it was too late for the change I wanted to make.
8 weeks is very good news though. We placed our order on November 1st and took delivery on March 1st.
