Title: New Chassis
Post by: ragoodsp on November 28, 2017, 12:52:00 pm
Folks:

Just read that in 2019 Feightliner will be offering a new front gas engine chassis for RV application (class A).  16,000-19,500 GVW, with a new 6..0L gas engine that will turn out approx. 310 HP with decent torque.   The new engine will get 15% better MPG compared to current RV based engines (Ford).  One must wonder if there might be a new Class C chassis in Feightliners future?

Well to start the mpg savings haven’t been proven yet by consumers and second considering there is 50 less horsepower than the v10 in current class A it’s not all apples to apples. As far as a freightliner class c , I’d like to see one. The competition would be welcomed.

What's the latest from Ford?

The GVWR  for the Transit 350HD is only 10,360. The Winnebago Fuse must be seriously maxed out.
