The Phoenix Cruiser Travel Club is a club with a great spirit of friendship, so much so that we feel that we are a family. The club was originally formed for the owners of Falcon and Horizon campervans manufactured by the former International Vehicles Corporation. That company is no longer in business but the club has continued and is now open to owners of any motor home.
We are the official club for motor homes manufactured by Phoenix USA Inc.
Our annual members’ reunion (rally) is held in September. It is a five-day event and locations are varied to encourage our members to see the United States. Recent reunions have been held in Williamsburg, Mackinaw City, Colorado Springs, Branson, Gettysburg, Danforth Bay, Kerrville, Petoskey, Colorado Springs, Washington DC and the 2017 rally was held in Sisters, Oregon.
The 2018 reunion is scheduled for September 6th through 11th to be held at Buffalo Valley Campground, Duluth, MN.
The club website is: www.phoenixcruisertravelclub.org
I have started this thread as a place for questions and updates for the 2018 rally. The site selection committee is working hard on the details and I will post new information here as it becomes available.

Great thread and thanks. As a new owner of less than a year, we would definitely like to attend, but not sure if we could make the entire 5 days. What is the protocol for joining the rally?
Thank you and look forward to learning more.

@garmp the way they have done it in the past was a one price for the week deal with the host park. Personally I see no reason why you would not be welcome to stop by for a day or so. However, I suspect the rates at the park (and availability) is locked in because the club is guaranteeing a 5 day stay for 20 or so rigs. So if you book with the club for the week you have a spot, otherwise you would have to check availability. But that is just my view, as we get closer and I get more info I will ask the site committee about that.

When we bought the Falcon RV from the Humphrey’s they gave us a 1 year membership. Loved that Falcon. We went everywhere. My favorite feature was the tub with a seat. We both enjoyed using that. Good memories!
-
I believe Phoenix does the same, gifts you a one year membership to the club. There will be some paperwork in the coach to that effect when you pick it up. Look forward to meeting you at a rally.
-
Last info I saw suggested that the travel club membership cost will be only if you need a mailed newsletter. So check and see if that is how it works now. And the Club get together is usually open for short termers If space is available. That is how it works with the other groups we belong to as well.
It's always great to see as many as can appear even for short term We are planning to appear for this one even if I can't wear my flip flops for a week. Have to dust off my lace up's I guess. Keeping the fire lit in Florida today. Snow flakes near tampa again.

@HenryJ that is partly true.
Here is the entire story:
• 2018 dues were waived as part of a member recruiting and re-recruiting drive for past members. There is a strong effort underway to increase membership of the club
• The factory gives new owners a one year club membership and since the club is waiving 2018 dues, 2018 new owners who join the club will be credited a full year for 2019
• For 2018 there is no dues due unless you want the newsletter printed and mailed, if so that costs $10 to cover those costs. No cost for the newsletter via email
• Dues are $30 per year and will resume with the 2019 year

Details on the 2018 rally including a sign up form will be in the February newsletter. Due mid-month February. I will post additional information once it is available. I assume the form will also be on the club website and if so I can post a link when it goes up.
Dates are 6th September through 11th September, at Buffalo Valley Campground. Costs and additional details will be released in the February newsletter. Deadline for signup will be June 1st.
If you are not a member yet what are you waiting for? The newsletter is very nice, certainly well beyond anything I expected and if you are a member you will get it and all the rally info right in your email box.

Received the newsletter with rally information. Is it possible to sign up for 2-3 nights with meals, or does one need to go through the front office to reserve a campsite? What about meals with the rest of the group?

Like Bill G, I'd like to know if it is possible to sign up for 2-3 nights with meals, or does one need to go through the front office to reserve a campsite? What about meals with the rest of the group? Appreciate any info on this.
