Title: 2400?
Post by: Capt Ron on April 30, 2017, 03:15:00 pm
We recently  sold our 3100 and are considering purchasing a 2017 2400.

I would be interested in hearing from 2400 owners regarding their likes/dislikes about the floor plan and sofa bed access.

thank you

We love our 2400 Sprinter as it suits our interest in living small.  Being a Sprinter, ours has the Aerobed with a new top of the line air mattress since per Kermit, the memory foam reclining sofa bed won't work with the wheel well location. With a 2" memory foam topper we store rolled up behind the sofa, we sleep sound as babies. Being a diesel we get 13-15 mpg even climbing the Appalachians. If you go with the Ford option your mileage and bed may vary.  :lol  There is ample storage inside; but zero outside other than the rear compartment which has prompted us to add a cargo carrier mainly for my "cripple cart" but also holds the Baby Q, a screen tent, Airboss compressor and assorted small items. It's quite a change from our former 40 ft diesel pusher, but we have learned to live small after almost 20 years of RVing full and part time.   :)(:

Obviously not most popular floorplan.  Had ours built with twin beds but the rear is mostly standard.  Potty area tight but doable for average size folk and shower works well with flat pan in lieu of tub.  Haven't fallen into stepwell working in kitchen but should have a removable cover.  Should have requested a drawer and pull-out cutting board instead of fold down type. The water tank beneath the sink contributes to rear sag, should be moved forward or choose E450.
