Title: grey tank draining
Post by: Dave on January 05, 2017, 03:52:24 pm
with the sanicon hose hooked up will the tank drain at all with valve open but the maserati switch off.
i thot maybe it would when it got full. also do you leave the hose out while you stay for  a few days? or do you put it back in the locker ea h time you use it?

Dave,
I believe the grey tank hose has an overflow location that will work as you describe, but I've never tried that.  You might search this forum for some posts relating to the overflow feature.

I'll occasionally leave the macerator hose out for a day or two if we're parked in a secure spot where it will not be vulnerable to someone stepping on it or tripping over it.  I always want the storage door closed and locked if windy weather is expected.

When we stay in one location for more than a week, I usually hook up our regular 3 inch gravity disposal hose to let the grey tank drain continuously until it's near time to drain the black tank (and always save some of the grey water to rinse the black tank and hose after the last dump before departure).
