Title: metal plugs
Post by: PawPaw on November 15, 2016, 09:33:24 pm
i remember a previous post where someone replaced the wood plugs in the interior trim with metal plugs. I can't find the post. Would whoever made the post, please send me a private message with the info?

The post was on Oct. 27 by under Tips and Tricks. Command  Strip projects were discussed and shown along with the metal plugs used by Mike (PAX).

Here's the info:

Rockler Woodworking and Hardware
Item #49877
3/8" Stainless Steel Hole Plugs
Pack of 8 - $9.99
www.rockler.com

The original wood plugs were very loose and the stain had faded a bit and no longer matched the cherry wood around them. These metal plugs are more snug and look great.

Hi PawPaw and all,

I have not looked myself, but I would think home improvement centers like Lowes, Home Depot, Menard,s could help you out.  Take a wooden button plug with you and ask the person in the hardware department if they have other (metal) choices.
