While running the roof air conditioner, the water runs from the unit on the roof then down the same spot on the side of the motorhome. Over a period of time I would "think" that this can not be a good thing for the paint finish. Window air conditioners used in your home frequently come with a drain tube for the flow of water instead of it running down the siding on your house. Does anyone know of anything that is used on motorhomes???

I don't know of a drain tube available. We too get the water run-off from the A/C. The rain gutter diverts it rearward and then out, but it's a hit or miss if it drips down to the ground or down the side of the RV. It depends on the angle of the parking pad.

Hi Y'all:
I too had the same problem. Fixed that by going to campingworld.com or jc whitney, can't remember which and ordered rain gutter extensions. Basically it makes the water fall farther away from the camper side. I think they were 10 bucks for four. Works great. Only problem is that sometimes when I walk around the home I get wet once and while. Small price to pay.

You might want to try a plain old wooden pinch type clothes pin attached to the rain gutter at the approx drip point. The water will go to the end of the clothes pin and drop off instead of running down your paint job.
