Title: Life changes
Post by: ragoodsp on September 22, 2016, 02:46:26 pm
As my wife and I approach that magic age of 65 (15 months!) the pull to hit the road again (did the lower 48 25 years ago doing a different region of the country every summer for 1 month over  four years)  is getting strong again.  Having owned 7 different motor homes I can honestly say for the past 6 years the ownership of my two PC's (2551S and 3100S) has been a great run with next to zero issues with either coach.  I realize that many of you PC owners spend extended periods of time in your coaches but we made the decision some time ago that we simply needed more room in both the coach and cab areas to make extended travel work for us.  I have been doing extensive shopping for the right new coach (I tried everything to prod Kermit to make a new PC on the F series chassis to no avail) and I settled on a Super C (truck conversion).   My wife and I drove home from NJ yesterday in our new baby (very large baby to say the least!) a 2017 Renegade Verona 36 VSB, 350 Cummins,  in a custom color called sandstone.  Two slides, king bed, and all the whistles you could want.  I will miss all of you here on the forum but please know I will be checking in from time to time since I do have a soft spot for PC and other small manufacturers that are competing against the giants like Forrest River (yuck). Renegade owners are now organizing to start a new owners forum that will look and feel like PC's.  Until we meet somewhere please be safe in your travels!   Thanks, Ron G.

PS:  if anyone is looking for and absolute mint inside and out 2012 3100S with 15,000 miles check out Dylan's RV and salesman Jim

Life does change and with that come new desires and needs.   I wish you and your wife many happy miles traveling in your new Renegade.   Hope you love it.  Nice to know you have good memories from your years  traveling in your PCs.

Safe travels.
Gail

Ron, Best wishes from us as well. We enjoyed reading your comments on the Forum.

We love our PC; however, there are times when we are looking at other options. Next summer we have made seasonal reservations at Gray Homestead on Southport Island Maine (Boothbay Harbor area). The season is from May 15 to Oct 15 (we won't stay there that long). I hope that our 2910 will continue to be comfortable for a longer period of time. If not, then we will have to explore other options--although, would hate to leave the Phoenix family.

As you said "life changes".

Ahhh but you bought our dream RV. Congratulations, I am very happy for you! We really like the Super C diesel.  I just can't swing 250 Grand for one.  If I could I never would have given the PC or any standard class c  a second look.    We actually would like one no newer than 2007 to avoid the DEF system but I was still looking at 130 grand so alas we settled.

Joseph...Owning a Super C utilizing the M-2 chassis has been a dream of mine for some time and I guess dreams do come true if you wait long enough!   I know we are not suppose to sell anything on this site and I like that rule.  But, if anyone would like to purchase  from me a set of brand new Magna Shades ($500 new, black, see thru but can not see in, purchased thru PC, will need to secure new adhesive pads for the windshield magnets to be mounted -$4.00) for the windshield and two side windows (used three times and they look absolutely super on the PC!), front cab rubber backed carpet mat (new $126.00) that connects from one side to the other (couple of small stains but otherwise perfect, tan in color), 8 sets of new US made cabinet lathes ($8.00 @ on Amazon), and a set of Norcold refrig. replacement hinges ($26.00) please private message me with a legitimate offer for everything plus shipping charges.  Would prefer to sell everything together.  Thanks

Hey Ron,
You helped change our lives today. We purchased your old coach! A pristine example of a well taken car of coach. I just returned from picking it up. A 725 mile 11and 1/2 hour journey in one day and I'm still awake at 9 pm EST. Thank you for all your help.

You are very welcome D and J!  It is a beautiful coach that will give you years of service.   The PC forum and all of the great people on here are a super resource.  Keep in touch and I will continue to help you with everything the coach has to offer.  Be careful!!
