Title: PC2100 trifold sofa bedding
Post by: garmp on August 18, 2016, 05:17:57 pm
We are thinking of getting a PC2100 with a slide and the electric trifold sofa.  :help
My question is, do you have a travasak type bedding system or use the traditional sheet & blanket set? Either way what's the inconvenience/time factor concerning set-up/take down time? And if you do use a bedding system, what kind and how/where do you store it?
thanks

We've been using the Travasak Sleep System for 11 years.  It is so convenient with the tri-fold sofa and provides a nice comfortable layer between you and the sofa.  You simply unroll it and lay it on top of the bed.  In the morning you fold it in half lengthwise and roll it up securing it with Velcro straps.  We store ours in the shower.  Some folks are not comfortable with being zipped up.  You can use it zipped, unzipped or part way.   The sheets (we bought an extra set) are great quality and are easy to remove to launder.  We have the queen size and both the Winter and Summer  comforters  fit in a regular size washer and dryer.   Ours looks just like it did when we made the purchase in 2005.

Travasak is no longer in business but Superbag  makes the same type of sleep system.

Like Gail said, some people don't like being zipped in and that would be me. I made some custom sheets. Hard to describe but will try. Have a memory foam layer (helps mask the cracks and armrest), mattress pad, and bottom sheet that kind of work together and go on like a contour sheet. Then we (husband and me) have separate top sheet and blanket. These are zipped on at the end of the bottom sheet with separating jacket zippers. I have made a cover for the "board" at the top as well. We just undo the bottom corner pockets, throw a sheet over it and fold it up leaving the sheets on. Can't use the arm rest but have not ever missed it. The pillows are stored either on top of the couch in front of the window or if the slide is in I put them up there. When it is laundry day, I just unzip, launder, rezip and put back on. The most difficult part is getting the top contour pockets over the corners. I am my own handy dandy seamstress and did do some experimenting on design. If you are not good with a sewing machine, it would be hard to find a seamstress to create custom sheets.
