I am close to ordering a 2351 and would like your comments on whether you would add the Insulated Glass and/or remove the ladder/roof rack.
I have had a number of SUV's with roof racks and never utilized.
I am adding Solar Panel, though they seem to be installed in front, gas line w/ quick disconnect, surge protector w/regulator, and upgrade 15000 BTU A/C.
Anyone ever add the Central Vacuum?

IMO dual pain windows are worth the money just for the quite they bring to the coach. You do not have to worry about weight (over) in a 2350 as long as you go with the E-450. no opinion on the central vac system, seems like a little over kill. I like a ladder just so I can have access to the roof if needed.

I am a fan of the insulated glass, big improvement over single pane, the coach is quieter as well as better insulated. I would keep the ladder, if a problem with a leak, vent, antenna etc. occurs while traveling it is nice to be able to get up on the roof. I found a hand vacumn more handy than the central vac I had in one of my class A's.

Thanks, I will go with the insulated glass and keep the ladder and roof rack. Central vac does seem like an overkill for RV.

I kept the ladder but deleted the roof rack. I can get onto the roof and don't have the rack in the way. Also easier to wash the roof.
For vac, my wife got a Dyson cordless that I mounted in the wardrobe. I had to run an extension cord to it but it works. If I had know before hand I would of had the factory install an electric plan in the wardrobe. I will say it works really well and I can take it to the toad and vac it. She liked it so much she got one for the house.

I would vote a big "yes" on Tom's approach....scrap the roof rack and keep the ladder. It is a pain clearing snow, etc with the rack in place. I honestly did not think of separating the two....

we have just given up the central vacuum. It was a pain. The bag area is out of the main cabin so changing it is an outside job. The tools were a lot of trouble so they remained away. We use a Bissell that works as a hand vac or fits in beater brush assembly. Handle folds down for stowing away. is rechargeable and picks up dog hair. No bags except the old one on the handle.

The previous 3 comments are spot-on.
Having bought 2 of our 3 PC rigs from the factory, lose the roof rack (which is a pita to climb over).
The central Vac is not necessary and also a pita.
The ladder can also be deleted if you buy a Telesteps type ladder, which can be positioned anywhere on the rear or sides and will fit in the storage bay.
We didn't need the insulated windows in our summer travels but that's a matter of preference.
The higher rated air conditioner/heat pump is a good option.
PC is a wonderful company and their after sale support is without peer (I've had units made by others). They really do care about PC owners.

Have both the ladder/roof rack and insulated glass, great additions. The vac I think is unnecessary.

I'am currently looking it used Cruisers and how could you tell if it had the insulated glass . The insulated glass seems like a good option for cool weather usage .

If it is the type that cranks open instead of sliding, then you check from the outside. Crank open a window then go around outside and look at it from the edge. The two panes of glass with a spacer between is visible. The outer pane is large than the inner pane. The inner pane and spacer fit inside the window frame when closed. The outer frame aligns with the fixed glass on the rest of the window.

I ordered our 2007-2350 new (9 years ago) with insulated glass and also the roof rack and ladder, but I requested the ladder & rack be placed inside the rig in pieces. Nine years later, both remain stored in our brick-&-mortar house basement leaving me to wonder if I should put them up on Ebay or Craigslist along with a pile of other retired PC items collected over the past 9 years. If you are unsure what to do, I suggest you consider what I had done. You can always install one or both later. But taking either off will leave unsightly plugged holes.
About insulated glass, I agree with the others. It is well work the extra cost for the reasons shared. We are very happy we with them.
Sorry but I feel a central vac an unnecessary complexity, especially in the smaller PCs.
