Title: Leveling jacks
Post by: ron-n-toni on May 06, 2016, 05:40:13 pm
While driving down I-88, heard a loud bang, more banging and scraping. Found that the leveling jack pump assembly mounted under the unit broke the mounting bracket and was dragging on the road. Called Kermit and sent photos. Kermit called back and told me that they do not install the jacks and had sent photos to Stuarts Service who called me within an hour.  They install the jacks and we made an appointment for today.  Chuck Stuart repaired the unit and upgraded it to a full auto style for free  and paid for my trip from PA.. Now that's service.  tymote

Has the same looking panel under the steering wheel but buttons are slightly different. Full auto has one button you push once and the jacks come down but do not hit the ground. Second push, jacks come down and contact the ground, third push and it levels the coach. Still has the manual buttons for you to adjust the coach to your wishes. One push and the jacks retract to the travel position. Nice setup.

Sounds pretty sweet. I wonder if a person could retrofit in order to upgrade

I think (yea, I know that's dangerous) that it is done by switching  the control panel on the dash. Give Stewarts a call. He is very honest and helpful. Number and address is on the HWH website.

I would love to hear what you find out about the retrofit if you contact Stewarts.

I intend to call and find out. My Plate is really full right now but I will get around to it and post what I find out.

ok I sent an email and

"If you have a 725 system it can be upgraded to auto leveling.

If you have a 325 system it can’t be upgraded  to auto leveling.

Thank You

Chuck Stuart"

So next I need to see which my unit has and go from there.  I don't want to take up any of there time asking questions if my unit cant be upgraded.
