We picked up our 2015 2552 Phoenix in 10/14. Soon after leaving Elkhart, we heard a sound like static on a radio speaker. Appears to come from both sides of the engine cover at around 50 mph.
Returning to Phoenix, they think it is a Ford problem. Kermit did not hear it, but Bob was able to hear the noise.
We took it to Jordon Ford in M..., IN as suggested by Kermit. They test drove it and adjusted a speed odometer cable, but that did not help. They made certain the engine cover was on correctly. Drove it with the cover on and off.
We are back home again with no change in the noise. It is most nerve racking, but not extremely loud.

Dose the noise go away with the radio on? Is the DVD on? You could be getting a RF feedback through the speakers. I get this whenever I forget to turn on the Computer with the powered speakers turn on and talk on the Ham Radio. With the computer on no problems. Try turning off the inverter and see if that would help. Let us know what you find out

Not that this is the culprit, but maybe you can apply it.
My old Ford Ranger pickup truck had a soft fabric & foil material heat shield glued to the plastic fuel tank to protect it from the heat of the exhaust system. It had come loose on the forward/leading edge. Under certain conditions, wind from forward motion would catch it and push it against the drive shaft making a static sound. When stopped, the material would spring back against the fuel tank. That drove me nuts for many months. Finding it was miraculous.
Look for anything that could move with wind. It might look perfect, but grabbing it with your hand, it flaps around.

How and where do you turn off the invertor? We did not know it was on.

on the wall behind the driver seat, it will have a display showing the voltage of the house battery, and above the generator start panel. I know that it will cause noise on the AM radio in our unit. So in less I need something that need 110 vac while driving I leave it off.
