Title: Water leak
Post by: ragoodsp on June 25, 2015, 02:12:55 pm
I had noticed a couple of times over the winter some wet carpet on the right side (facing the slide when inside) corner, we all know water and RV's do not mix!!  I checked everything over even re caulked the front cap seam, etc and did not find anything obvious on the roof but did see wetness one more time.    I placed a call to Kermit (reported on the good service from him in another post) who told me to really look over the small plastic down spout that catches water off the slide topper/roof, he has seen water back up and go under that topper track and run down the wall.  Sure enough the spout had broken over the winter and in very heavy down pours the water would back up, literally run up hill and down the wall.  I got a new down spout (like $7.00 for four on Amazon) and installed with one screw and some Décor self leveling goop and we have now had several very, very heavy rains with zero wet carpet.  I would never have guessed that water would run up hill, around a screw and down the wall enough to wet carpet!   Thanks to Kermit again for knowing his coaches inside and out.  I love my 3100!  Thanks, Ron G.

We sold our 2552 and are no longer doing the RV thing.
However, I must say after 30+ years, having high-line Diesel-Pushers and other units in addition to our most recent 3 PC models, I cannot speak more highly of any manufacturer than Kermit and his staff. They have made owning a PC the easiest and most enjoyable experience I/we have ever had.  2o2
When asked about what RV manufacturer I was most satisfied with, which is fairly often, I'll always tell them to look at Phoenix Cruiser first.
As far as I'm concerned, PC is the bench-mark to which others aspire.  5:)
