Title: House lock problems
Post by: Janey on December 06, 2014, 03:30:20 pm
Can't get the house door lock to work with the keyless entry.  What have I done / and what should I do?

I would like to help but I don't have keyless enter, sure wish I did. I don't know any thing about what Phoenix uses but my Jeep's key fob has a small watch battery that needs replacing every couple of years. I buy it at CVS. Have you checked your fob. Do you have a second fob you can test with?

Have you tried cleaning the electrical contacts between the door and the body of the coach? You might try the key fob battery too.....

Yes, yes, and yes.

I wonder if it's in the synchronization of the frog cab & house door.

Hi Janey,

Sorry that you are not getting lots of help as is usually what happens.  I didn't even know that a keyless entry house door was available, probably not many out there.  I hate to state the obvious, but a call to Kermit may be the solution.

Sorry I can't be of more help. Bob

Well, an email to earl solved the problem. It doesn't lock the house door off the keyless entry. It must be hand locked with the key.  Oops.  We have had our moho since august and never locked that dang door.  Our rialta locked all doors with the main key thing  - just a touch and all doors were locked.   Good thing we live in an honest neighborhood.  Scary.

Interesting very interesting.

Now you have a story to tell and laugh about around the campfire.

Duh- and a bit embarrassing. We spent a lot of time locking unlocking, checking batteries, cleaning the contacts for the steps. Do I feel silly or what!

Janey, kind of miss that feature from our Rialta also, but don't miss the headaches associated with it.
