We really like the MCD shades in the PC but....they really make a loud banging noise if they hit the window frame. Problem solved. We bought some felt strips in dark brown like those shown here http://www.walmart.com/ip/Soft-Touch-Self-Stick-Felt-Strip-Oatmeal/16782111
The ones we found were 1/2 inch by 2 5/8 inch in a very dark brown color. The frame of the window that they were hitting was only 1/4 inch so we cut one strip in half and attached it to the window frame where the MCD shade would come in contact with it if you inadvertently bumbed it at night. It really softens any noise made by the shade coming in contact with the frame. We put 5 inches of strip along each side/bottom of the window frame. The dark brown strip cannot even be seen against the black frame. We looked for self adhesive weather stripping but could not find the right size so we gave this a try and it has nicely solved the problem.

I used the little vynly/rubber bumpers on the back side of each shade to do the same thing. It sure is better at night.

Has anyone replaced a pleated style shade with an MCD shade? Replaced one broken pleated shade ($65), now two more are broken. Got to be a better way. Heard the MCD shades are pricy

We have the MCD shades in our 2012 2551 and simply love them. The sun blocking during the day helps keep the PC cool and comforatable. The light blocking at night and in the early morning hours is great.
Here is a link to the MCD website:

The website is very informative and a lot of information about DIY installaltions.

We had the old shades replaced at the factory last year. The new MCD shades are much easier. I did add Velcro strips to them so when they are down they won't swing out over the bed, plus it stops the banging noise when driving.
We are very happy with the change
