We have a 2012 PC3100 which we purchased new. It seems that on occasion we get a high pitched whine from under the vehicle that will go away if we come to a complete stop. It may not happen again for quite some time and I cannot make it happen. I thought it may be the tires but we had them replaed under the Michelin recall and it still occurs. Could it be the drive shaft? There is no vibration just the sound. Has anyone experienced this or have any thoughts on what could be causing this sound?

If you don't have a pair of Pomeranians, I don't know what the cause of the whine could be...

Make sure all fluids are at the proper level, especially power steering. But I would have guessed it was your alternator when under a heavy demand. If you later find out it is the alternator, you will want to replace it under warranty. See if the whine happens when you turn on the headlights.
