1.  Yes, with the sofa.

2.  No problems with it.  We did have some maintenance issues with the slide out on the diesel pusher we owned for ten years before buying our PC, but these were easily fixed and the benefits to us of having the slide out far out-weighted the "problems."

3 and 4.  Yes, we would always choose to have a slide out on any RV we might buy.  We learned this the hard way by buying our first two RV's without one. We first thought that just buying a longer unit would fix the lack of space issue and didn't recognize the benefit of a slide out.  Our experience of having the option to open up some of the floor space convinces us that the slide out is well worth the extra cost, weight, maintenance , etc. even if one of us were traveling alone.

We special ordered our PC without a slideout back in 2007 and still love being slide-less.
Like BGolden, I feel our 2350 made 1 foot longer (model 2351) would be nicer, but our 2350 is our last RV purchase.  When it's done, so are we.

Tom, You could set this up to do the "Cool Clicky Thingie" so it tallies up the votes in real time for all to review at a glance.  It also assures only one vote per forum member.

No surprise with Ron, right?
Like BGolden, I too would like a 2450 but it ain't gonna happen.  This baby's gotta last us.

Tom, You could set this up to do the "Pool Clicky Thing" so it tallies up the votes for you.  You want all to see at a glance that there is only one vote for a no-slide.   :lol

Ron I don't know how to set up to "pool clicky thing". Can you tell me how?

Tom,

When you want to post a poll you have to go to the Poll section like you did to post this question and instead of selecting New Topic, select the last category that says Post New Poll. It will then guide you as to your question, options, etc....

Yep, Sue has it right.

I started a pole on Helpful Ratings and I recall it being painless.

Tom, you might want to consider starting a new thread and then deleting this one.

1. Does your Phoenix Cruiser have a slide out? -- Yes, one slide with fridge and couch on it

2. If you have a slide out, do you have any problems with it? -- Yes, it leaks

3. If you were to get another new Phoenix Cruiser, would you or would not get the slide out? -- WITH slide

4. I you where to get any new motorhome, would you or would not get a slide out? -- WITH slide

Clarification. Our slide out was one of the first touchless slides Phoenix installed. It leaks. They quickly figured out there was a problem with the new slides and changed the installation method so I think we were in a very small window of units that leak (the luck of the draw yet again). We thought the little gutter thing Kermit put on fixed the problem but it still leaks. We now tilt down or that side or pull in the slide during rainstorms. We had torrential rain and wind last night with the slide in and no leaks. We will be headed back to Phoenix next month to get it fixed. We've already spoken to Kermit and he said to bring her in. Phoenix has been very responsive about the problem and the delay is due to our travels and our preference to have them do the work rather than some random RV place.

1 yes with sofa/bed
2 no mechanical but several operator caused issues
3 yes, but not that is required for sleeping,  we would like the option rather than the necessity
4 same as above

No slide, don't want one

Too much complexity, not enough return for the $$$$. We don't need the extra space

Our slide no longer leaks. Phoenix took care of it for us and we've rain tested it a few times now so all is well. We would not hesitate to get the slide out again and have had no other problems with it.

3100 model with a slide
Dinette and couch/recliners
The gearing is making a lot of noise - on my to do list to check it out
Lubed up and operates much more smoothly, but still grinding noise
The slide appears to double the interior size when opened, but I like that we do not need to open it up for short stops.
I believe that I would invest in a slide in a future? motorhome

Prefer not. The less electro-mechanical items the better but hard to find non-slide RVs

I've had my PC 2900D for almost 3 years.. I never noticed this poll until now.

1. Yes, with a sofa/bed in front and queen bed in rear.

2. No problems at all. (its one of the original Lipperts)

3. Would. Definitely. Too closed in without it.

4. Would. Same reason. With the slide out, the RV doesn't feel like a hallway with cabinets and appliances in each side. Slides create "rooms".

Yes it has one slide behind the drivers seat.
No problems yet. We are the third owners.
Not sure.  I would have to see one without a slide.  It also determines how long I would be in it during a trip.  If it would be 6 months or more I would definitely want a slide.
We love the twin beds and the ability to use the couch without extending the slide while traveling.  When you need to stop at rest areas or places that you shouldn’t put a slide out , it is a beautiful set up.
