I recently installed an ULTRA BREEZE vent cover on our PC. This will protect our vent while allowing 95-100% of original airflow. It is the only vent cover recommended for use with a Fantastic Vent.
It was very easy to install without drilling any holes. Just removed four screws from the existing vent, applied sealer to the four screw holes, attached four brackets with four new screws in the original holes, applied sealer over the screw heads, then attached the ULTRA BREEZE to the brackets with cotter pins. That’s all! Simply pull out the four cotter pins to remove the vent cover to clean the vent.
Here is a link to a video demonstration of the installation:

Those look pretty nice. Did you install them to use the fans when it's raining and/or to reduce sun/heat?

Mike,
I only put one vent cover on for now--on the vent in our bedroom that has the thermostat controlled fan. This is the vent that we usually leave open. I think it will keep some dust out as well as rain. Didn't think about heat from the sun, but that might be true.

Those are real nice. I would consider that vent cover but I couldn't get an accurate enough "Mounted Height".
Does one mounted center on a PC roof sit taller than the Dometic a/c unit? If it does, it wouldn't work for me because our garage door is just tall enough for the a/c unit to clear by an inch when our rig is empty and low on fuel.

Ron,
Our ULTRA BREEZE is mounted on the center line of the roof, midway between the Dometic a/c unit and the rear end of the PC. It is difficult for me to make an exact measurement of either one, but they both stand very close to 11" above the roof. From the photos of the PC on the website, the roof seems to slope downward a little toward the rear, so that would indicate that the top of the vent cover would be slightly lower than the top of the a/c unit.

Our 2552 came with a vent cover on the back fan. I don't know if it is the brand mentioned. I think it came as part of the fantastic fan unit. It sits several inches higher than the a/c unit. I had to remove it (e z, 4 push pins hold it on) to fit through our 10' door opening. Mark
